The
Labyrinth at New Hope Camp and Conference Center is patterned after the 11-circuit
Medieval Labyrinth embedded in the floor of Chartres Cathedral in France around
1220. The path, which leads to the center of the layrinth and back to the entrance,
symbolizes life with its unexpected turns and unknown destinations. The circuit
is outlined with quartz rocks and its walking path is filled with pebbles of
recycled bottle glass.
